They are separate wings of a large country-house -- former 'château ' or domain of wine-producer -- about 5 mins drive from fortified city of Carcassonne, near village of Pezens. They are up a lane off the main road hence in a very quiet situation, pretty with spacious garden & fine trees for shade. The large pool has terraces all around with open views but is not overlooked. With wine-growing villages all around, the Canal du Midi & the nearby Montagne Noire & Mediterranean coast, it’s also a good base for touring... Each cottage has two large bedrooms, one double, one with two singles. ALARIC has a third small single bedroom & one bathroom, while CORBIERES has two bathrooms. Each has a large living-cum dining-room with a sofa-bed & TV and kitchen section equipped with cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, dish-washer, good range of utensils & crockery, washing m/c. They have been equipped to a high standard while retaining a traditional cottage atmosphere. Each is equipped for outdoor dining & barbecue.
