Villarzel-du-Razes is a virtually traffic-free, village situated on
quiet back-roads between Carcassonne and Limoux. It is surrounded by
beautiful countryside --- the massif of the Malpere, the vineyards of
the Razes and the Limouxin, the foothills of the Pyrenees and the
gorges and river-valley of the Aude. From the village a network of the
quiet paths and the lanes are wonderful for walking and cycling, yet
shops, supermarkets, cafes and markets are only 10 minutes drive away
in Limoux, a centre for good food, wine, music and fetes …
La Forge consists of the original forge-cum -- house—the
farmhouse (left of picture) and the adjoining barn which has been
converted to a cottage (right). Each house has its own secluded outdoor
dining area but they share a common utility room with washing-machine
and the use of the 10m x 5m pool, terraces, lawn and the garden which
has fine trees for shade. Both houses have gas central-heating:

When we
have agreed availability we will ask you to send us an ordinary British
bank cheque (or agreed alternative) for one-quarter of the total rent;
on receipt of that we write to confirm the reservation with advice on
further payment (We simply ask you to send another cheque for the rest
2 months before the holiday).
The rents quoted here include all services, bedding, house towels and
fuel.
