Chambres d'Hôtes (Bed & Breakfast) in restored old Priory manor
-farm, plus separate farm gite for 4 people and pool.
The priory of Prouilhe was founded by St.Dominique in the 12th century
near to the large villages of Montreal and Fangeau where memories of
turbulent religious and political conflicts, associated with the Cathar
heretics, still seem to hang in the narrow, winding streets. This is an
excellent centre from which to tour the cathar country -- Carcassonne,
Castelnaudary and Mirepoix are within a 20 minutes-drive, while
Toulouse takes only 50 mins -- as well as the mountains of the Pyrenees
and the Mediterranean coast. There are vineyards nearby, good markets
and plenty of shops and restaurants…

Relais de St. Dominique is separate from the modern Priory but
overlooks its grounds (you can have a n excellent meal there if you
wish!). |

The
owners have recently restored the old buildings to a very high standard
of modern provision, with a decor which is light and colourful yet
retains the traditional features and the calm beauty of their origins. |
| Chambres
d'hote provision includes 4 double bedrooms with en-suite shower. h.b.
& sep.w.c. And 2 family-suites each with two double bedrooms and
bathroom (bath, h.b., sep w.c.) Outside two fine archways lead to
attractive breakfast-room and lounge area, and the 10m x 5m swimming
pool, with terraces and lawns where you can relax all day -- mature
trees and patios provide shade from the midday sun. |

have agreed availability we will ask you to send us an ordinary
British bank cheque (or agreed alternative) for one-quarter
of the total rent; on receipt of that we write to confirm the
reservation with advice on further payment
(We simply ask
you to send another cheque for the rest 2 months before the
holiday).
The rents quoted here include all services, bedding, house towels
and fuel.
